Nami Island

Nami island has been on my bucket list for awhile and Maya and I finally got a chance to go with Jane and the kids.  It took about 2 1/2 hours by train but it was well worth it. We will try and go back so we can take Damian.  Nami island is a man made island in the northern part of Korea.  You can take a short ferry ride or zip line to the island. We obviously took the ferry. Jane and the kids would’ve taken the zip line but it was closed that day.

The island is beautiful.  You can rent bikes or walk along the many paths.  I didn’t get to take a whole lot of pictures but the island is very artsy and lots of places to grab a book and read. Metasequoia trees line many of the paths.

  1. Glad to know you continue to make the most of your stay there. Keep having fun. I know we are and we continue to look forward to each and every day. I had MD apmt this am and all went well. Came home and picked the last grapes on our vineyard. Actually, there are a few left, but not many. This is the best harvest we have ever had, but still not enough to make any wine. They are sweet, but have seeds. GM likes them without seeds so we shared with our neighbors. Take care and we are looking forward to seeing you in couple of months back in Austin.
    Love,
    GM & GP in Texas.
