If you are wondering what the weather is like in the summer it’s humid! The heat hasn’t been that bad, it rarely has gotten above 90 so far but the humidity is just awful. We are all sweating and sticky before we leave the apartment. So Maya and I are in need of a pool day. There is a pool about a 10 minute walk away but I decided to be brave and take Maya about an hour away to a huge pool that we have been wanting to go to for awhile. Since it was a weekday, I figured it would be better to go than on a weekend. I was right. It was pretty crowded for being 11 AM. But that’s Korea for you, its crowded everywhere!
Surrounding the pool is a few places to get food and snacks. If you happen to forget a towel or even a swimsuit there is a vendor selling anything and everything you could possibly need. They even had umbrellas for you to use for free! The only thing I thought was weird was that everybody had to wear swim caps or hats while in the pool. Since I don’t know Korean I was never able to figure that one out. My best guess was that it was a hygiene issue, but who knows. I don’t have pictures of Maya in the pool because I was the only one there to watch her but she had tons of fun. We spent about 2 hours there and she didn’t want to leave.
